Growing up Steven would go crabbing, fishing & oystering with his Uncles and Brothers, he always loved being near the water and continues to share that passion with his children & partner.

The waterways are very important to the Bundjalung people as it is the home to a lot of their main food source, such as fish, crabs, oysters, etc. The food sources are all found in the ocean, rivers, creeks and other natural waterways such as streams, lakes, waterholes.
