The Travelling Quandong Print

Designed by Djabugay and Wiradjuri artist Nikita Herd

The art depicts the migration of birds as the centre piece where
they would consume a variety of fruits, one being the Quandong
fruit which is represented by the blue and green spheres.
The T shape designs represents the birds, which is seen travelling
between the centre piece, dropping the seeds to the rainforest floor
and moving to various locations to drop the digested seeds.
The quandong fruit is special to the Djabugay Bama
(peoples), as these seeds are used as traditional attire.
