'Mulgumpin' Moreton Island Cushion

This beautiful cushion features artwork by Shara Delaney a descendant of the Ngari Nunagal, Goenbal, Ngugi clan groups of Quandamooka Country, which is located on the east coast of Brisbane.

This design titled Mulgumpin also known as Moreton Island, which is apart of Quandamooka in the Moreton Bay region.  This artwork features some of Mulgumpin’s beautiful sand hills.  Shara wanted to capture the patterns in the sand created by wind.  Like layers of cultural history and knowledge, our elders walked this land and still continue to care for country.  For generations a place for camping and fishing.  The land has a lot of spiritual energy, you can feel it when you visit.
