In Holly's words "The third Illustration in the Country Kin Collection. This whole collection was inspired by my Uncles Artworks. Animals were a huge focus in many of his pieces and having a young son at home, I wanted to create something for my sons room that tied together his art and my contemporary style. Bayadherra, the Long Necked Turtle. My totem. I adore how this piece has come together. These turtles have made a small appearance in a few of my pieces but to make a real feature of them was really beautiful. When I see this illustration I see myself, I see something deeply connected to my identity."
